CJ’s QSR's managing director Andrew Firn talks to QSR Media about the master franchisee's flexible growth strategy.

The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of FY 2022.

The coffee chain is also eyeing two additional openings before the end of the year.

The chain has over 100 stores domestically.

The move is part of the brand’s goal of building over 30 new restaurants in the coming 12 months.

The chain comprises more than 300 cafés across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

A majority of new restaurants will include a drive-thru, McDelivery and digital ordering.

The chain’s country director said the results reflected its “proven standards”.

This follows Popeyes’ earlier announcements for long-term expansion in the UK and Mexico.
